Seven Days – Seven Seen; The Third Seen

Five Days Until Nowruz!
Nowruz, the celebration of nature’s rebirth, is one of the oldest ancient traditions observed in Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan, and other regions that celebrate this festival. It is accompanied by unique and beautiful customs, one of the most significant being the Haft-Seen table. Each element of this table symbolizes aspects of life, including renewal, prosperity, health, and love.
As we count down to Nowruz, we continue introducing one “Seen” from the Haft-Seen each day.
The Third “Seen”:
Seer – The Symbol of Health, Protection, and Warding Off Evil
Garlic (Seer) has long been recognized as a symbol of health and a remedy for illnesses. In folklore, it is believed to ward off the evil eye and negative energies while bringing positive energy into the home. Placing Seer on the Haft-Seen table represents protection for family members against illness and a wish for a year filled with well-being and peace.
