Afghan Coach Anoush Dastgir Takes Charge of Dutch Youth Teams

The Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) has appointed Anoush Dastgir, former head coach of the Afghanistan national football team, as the new head coach of the Netherlands U-18 and U-19 national teams.
Dastgir served as assistant coach at Almere City FC last season and will now lead the U-18 national team. Starting next year, he will also take charge of the U-19 squad, guiding them through the UEFA U-19 European Championship qualifiers.
The signing ceremony took place at the KNVB headquarters, with Nigel de Jong, Director of Football Development, in attendance.
The Netherlands U-19 team recently claimed the UEFA European Championship title. The country is known as a global leader in youth football, with its youth teams consistently delivering strong performances on the international stage.
