The Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) has appointed Anoush Dastgir, former head coach of the Afghanistan national football team, as the new head coach of the Netherlands U-18 and U-19 national teams.

Dastgir served as assistant coach at Almere City FC last season and will now lead the U-18 national team. Starting next year, he will also take charge of the U-19 squad, guiding them through the UEFA U-19 European Championship qualifiers.

The signing ceremony took place at the KNVB headquarters, with Nigel de Jong, Director of Football Development, in attendance.

The Netherlands U-19 team recently claimed the UEFA European Championship title. The country is known as a global leader in youth football, with its youth teams consistently delivering strong performances on the international stage.
