Afghan Boxer Named Britain's Youth Boxer of the Year

Mohammad Reza Safari, a young boxer of Afghan descent, has been named “Britain’s Best Young Boxer of the Year” by MaddogsBoxing.
Safari, known as Manny Safari, caught the attention of UK sports organizations with his impressive winning streak in national competitions over the past year. Originally from Afghanistan, he has been living in the UK since childhood and training in boxing clubs in southern England. He currently represents the British national youth boxing team.
In 2022, Safari won a bronze medal at the European Youth Boxing Championships in the 48 kg category, establishing himself as one of the most promising talents in European amateur boxing.
His resume includes multiple domestic titles in the UK. Most recently, he celebrated his ninth championship victory at a regional tournament in Rotherham, where he scored a decisive win against an experienced opponent — further confirming his status among Britain’s top young boxers.
