Afghan Activist Horia Mosadiq Awarded Anna Dahlbäck Prize
Horia Mosadiq, an Afghan journalist and human rights activist, has been awarded the 2025 Anna Dahlbäck Foundation Prize.
The award ceremony took place on Friday, September 12, in Stockholm, Sweden, where the jury announced Mosadiq as the winner.
The Anna Dahlbäck Foundation praised her persistent efforts in defending freedom of expression and human rights, describing her as a courageous and committed woman.
Horia Mosadiq has worked for more than two decades in the fields of journalism and human rights. She has experience collaborating with Amnesty International and has spent many years reporting on Afghanistan, particularly on issues of justice and women’s rights.
