Richard Bennett, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Afghanistan, Lars Bo Møller, Denmark’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, and Vibeke Klarup, Secretary General of Amnesty International in Denmark, have joined the "Red Lipstick" campaign.

These three international figures expressed their solidarity with Afghan women by wearing red lipstick and echoing the slogan #RedForAfghanistanWomen.

The "Red Lipstick" campaign was launched on March 5, 2025, by a group of Afghan women’s rights activists in exile, in protest against the oppression of women under Taliban rule. The campaign uses red lipstick as a symbol of resistance, courage, and support for the silenced voices of Afghan women.

The campaign gained traction on social media, attracting support from global human rights activists and international officials, including Jan E. Jørgensen, a member of the Danish Parliament, who also joined in solidarity with Afghan women.
