The aliban's Minister of the Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, Khalid Hanafi, has called on media officials to ensure their activities comply with "Islamic law and Afghan culture." Emphasizing the importance of "Islamic education" for the younger generation, Hanafi urged the media to align their content with "Islamic Sharia" standards. This directive was issued during a joint meeting between Taliban ministry officials and media representatives in Kabul, as announced by National Radio and Television under Taliban control.

In addition, Taliban intelligence officials have instructed media outlets in Parwan and other provinces to adhere strictly to the principles of Islamic Sharia and the Islamic Emirate. The intelligence department has issued warnings to journalists, indicating that non-compliance with these principles will result in consequences. This is part of a broader effort by the Taliban to enforce their interpretation of Islamic law across media and public communication platforms.
