Amnesty International: Taliban’s discrimination against Afghan women and girls Is unacceptable

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Amnesty International has condemned the Taliban’s treatment of Afghan women and girls, stating that their discrimination has reached inhumane levels.
The organization emphasized that if the international community takes real and effective action, the systematic restrictions imposed by the Taliban on Afghan women could be brought to an end by this time next year.
Human Rights Watch also praised the resilience of Afghan women, acknowledging their relentless struggle for their rights despite severe challenges and hardships.
International Women’s Day is being observed worldwide at a time when Afghan girls remain deprived of education, and women face extreme restrictions under Taliban rule, stripping them of their most basic rights.
