The Taliban Disaster Management Department in Badakhshan reported that 10 members of a family died in the flood in Faizabad city, with only one body recovered so far as efforts continue to find the others. The floods caused extensive damage in the Morchak area of Faizabad, blocking the Faizabad-Ergo and Bahark roads on Saturday evening.

According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA), at least 134 people died in Ghor and Faryab following the rain and flooding on Friday and Saturday last week. The floods destroyed 7,870 houses and 700 acres of land. OCHA announced on Sunday, May 26th, on the X social network that 84 people died in Faryab province and 50 others in Ghor province during the rains.
