Taliban forcibly displace 10 families in Ghor province
Local sources report that the Taliban forcibly evicted around 10 families from their homes in Dolatyar district, Ghor province, on Monday. The eviction, ordered by Taliban governor Ahmad Shah Dindoost, targeted families from the Taimani tribe to make way for individuals from the "Sardar" tribe, who are reportedly close to the Taliban leadership.
The displaced families were warned by the Taliban that any opposition to the relocation would result in "legalization," implying further punishment. This forced migration follows a previous order by the governor for the eviction of around 600 families, under the pretext of resolving tensions between the Taimani and Sardarkhel tribes.
Residents of Dolatyar are calling for intervention from human rights organizations to protect them from these Taliban actions. Local Taliban officials in Ghor have not yet commented on the forced evictions.
