Seven Days Until Nowruz!

Nowruz, the celebration of nature’s rebirth, is one of the oldest ancient traditions observed in Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan, and other regions. This festival is accompanied by unique and beautiful customs, one of the most significant being the Haft-Seen table. Each element of this table symbolizes aspects of life, including renewal, prosperity, health, and love.
With seven days remaining until Nowruz, we will introduce one “Seen” from the Haft-Seen each day.
The First “Seen”:
Senjed – The Symbol of Wisdom, Prudence, and Thoughtful Action
Senjed (dried oleaster fruit) is placed on the Haft-Seen table with the belief that in the new year, individuals should make all their decisions with wisdom and careful consideration. It represents the importance of thoughtfulness and precision in one's actions. Some also consider Senjed a symbol of love and devotion, placing it on the table to strengthen affection among family members.
