Nadia Nadim Won 2025 Golden Foot Award in Women’s Category

Nadia Nadim, the Danish-Afghan footballer and physician, has been named the winner of the 2025 Golden Foot Award in the women’s category. The ceremony took place on Thursday, 28 November 2025, in Monaco, with Prince Albert II in attendance.

Nadim was honored not only for her achievements on the football field but also for her humanitarian and academic contributions. She serves as a UNESCO ambassador, promoting education and empowerment for girls and women worldwide.

French football star Antoine Griezmann received the men’s Golden Foot Award at the same event.

The Golden Foot Award is given annually to players over the age of 28 who have made a notable impact both on and off the pitch.
